Vetiver oil

Vetiver oil is obtained by steam distillation from Vetivera Zizanoides (Indonesan: Akar Wangi). This plant grows mainly in Java island ,Indonesia .The part used is washed and dried root. Our Vetiver oil undergo aging process so the oil become more viscous, sweet odour and free of smoky smell. It is reddish in colour.

Vetiver oil has a wonderful effect on the mind and body and is useful to dispel irritability, tension, anger and hysteria. It also has a balancing effect on the hormonal system and is a great boon for the skin to reduce wrinkles and strength marks as well as helping wounds heal.

The therapeutic properties of vetiver oil are antiseptic, aphrodisiac, cicatrisant, nervine, sedative, tonic, sedative and vulnerary. It is considered a safe oil and is non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing.

The main chemical components are benzoic acid, vetiverol, furfurol, a and b-vetivone, vetivene and vetivenyl vetivenate.

Although most essential oils blend well together, vetiver oil blends particularly well with benzoin, grapefruit, jasmine, lavender and ylang-ylang.
